Hey Gang
Now that this thread has got a good start, lets try and make it more complete. Give me some more updates to the engine cross reference. Share that knowledge! Sides7 |
RE: gas engine cross reference
can anyone tell me if the husqvarna rancher 50 and rancher 55 have the same motor design. I know that some saws use the saw body as the crankcase.

Mahle and Kolbenschmidt are two German companies that make cylinders for most all foreign two strokes....The Kolbenschmidt emblem is a K superimposed on an S, kinda looks like a dollar sign...Sachs used both companies...[8D]

RE: gas engine cross reference
most saws that are labeled "craftsman"are really made by poulan.I know this has already been said, however, I converting sears new 55cc craftsman saw and the engine looks nothing like any poulan 46 etc...it has all the features we all want...carb that dosent require any special mounting techniqes, coil mounted to the cyl. so you dont have to run electronic ignition if you dont want and mounting "beams" already cast into the crakcase ....with mounting holes already there!:)so my question is....who makes this engine for sears?? oh , also the instruction manual has a complete engine break down and you can order ANY part you may need, piston, rings, cyl..etc..etc
