RE: good conversion engine???

I'm looking at the Toro my self, and this is what I found.

http://www.scottellingson.com/store_008.htm

At $155 I'm not sure it's worth doing my self.

He ports them and tunes them for RC.

All you have to do is bolt them on.

Moderator edited to fix URL link so it would work!

I ordered a Toro 25cc from Scott. I mounted it on my Sig 1.20 4* and
all I can say is "WOW". This guy knows what he is doing.

Hello,
Most of us convert engines for radio controlled airplanes. The engines will work in a plane, boat or car application. You just need to know what sort of drive system is needed. Such as a prop, gearbox or shaft and screw for a boat. Boats and cars work better with a clutch. You want to retain the fly wheel cooling fins and plastic shroud for boats and cars. Of course boats can use a water jacket instead of air cooling. The pull starter would also be helpful with starting surface vehciles.

well this is what i have right now. a 25cc weedeater engine with a walbro WA207A carburetor.
i took it apart to clean it and i broke one of the "tabs" that goes over the inlet valve.

i have a feeling that it is a reed and need a new better carb or a rebuild kit.
i am looking for advice on engine/carb selection

ps. i am planning on doing something like this...

(ITS not mine it is DR. Honda's)

Hello,
Unfortunatly, you either have to provide a better description or good pictures of it. Weedeater did make a rear intake reed valve engine a few years ago. Model XT-90 etc. The muffler is held on with springs and has a round cylinder port. Is this the engine that you have?

Hi,
That Echo has a clutch and good cooling. It should be great for an MT. Well made engine.
