RE: *25cc Conversion & Plane Combo*

The instructions are the same. Just 1 large sheet of paper with a diagram on how everything goes together. What size engine are uou putting on you Yak? I have a Brillelli 42cc w/ei as well as the 25GT engine. I plan on putting the 42cc on the Giant Big Stick so I can move the 25GT over to the Giles-202. Thanks |

I plan on putting my ryobi in my china models yak 54 I have a homelite 45cc in a scratch built EDGE540 it still has the mag ignition as it needs the nose weight. it's not the ideal set up because i still need a starter ( no hand flip'in that baby!)I bought a ch ignition with the syncro unit for it recently ,but I orderd it with the ryobi prop hub to run my ryobi ,so I could become accustomed to it . I dont like dead weight and I need the pound of fly wheel and mag to balance it ,so now it will probably stay put on my ryobi.talk about over engineering! If I can get my sons trainer done soon I could get to work on my yak.I also have a second ryobi just like the first one it needs ch ignition most likely the fixed version I may make mech. advance (and I'm thinking about a third for a spare but I dont know if I can talk the wife into 3 ryobi engines and 2ch ignition systems plus another plane she may arrange an "accident"for me!) I was concidering the giles 202or katana leaning towards the katana as I have a giles 202 .46 pheonix models, why be repetitive. problem is I cant be in the basement building and run my engine outside unattended at the same time .to many curious animals and kids in my neighborhood. there is just not enough time to do all this cool fun stuff! The whole thing started for me over glow fuel prices and cutting down on the stuff I take to the field ,plus this way with gas I get to fly bigger planes glow is o.k. for smaller stuff but way to expensive to run in large bore engines and its 45 min. to the hobby shop. I'd be buying fuel by the case.I got a perfectly good gas station right on the corner, they got fuel.and it's a lot cheaper than glow. so I'll save the gas I'd burn going to and from the hobby shop and fly on it instead!I just need oil. thats a lot of flying too. I also have a hanger 9 taylorcraft in my shop I won in a raffle my club put on I was thinking about putting a 25 cc in it but it will have to be a light one. any suggestions? |
