The Poulan 36 to 46cc engines can fairly easily be converted to beam mount. I had a 42cc Poulan on my Giant Stik, mounted beam style.

28cc stihl,FS-46 weedy.Heres a pic of mine.This is how it comes from the unit.3 point mount in back,rail on sides with holes already drilled.This is stock configuration.Im sending you a pm.

Funny you should mention that Buck. I was just out in the shop and noticed a Stihl engine of mine that could be very easily beam mounted, (it is identical to yours), and was going to post about it. I also have an Echo 30cc out of a chain saw that could be converted fairly easily to beam mount. I apologize, but I took it out of the saw several years ago, and I don't have the saw model number... [:o]

Im sure there are alot more but those are what come to mind right away.

Thanks for the responces, I just started work at a lawn-garden/locksmith shop and wanted to know what to look for, only engines in the junk pile so far are a couple of blown up ryobi's.

Av8tor,i took the 17x8 APC off of my OS 1.60 and put it on the stihl in the pic.I was getting 7200 RPMS.Im at 3000 MSL.The whole engine as in the pic only weighs 3-1/4 lbs.This engine was used when i bought it.I did nothing but what you see in the pic.Carb is a WA200 with a 28/64ths venturi.Cut out center of flywheel with hole saw then trued up in lathe and made hub.Ken made the muffler.CHignition is older style with no syncro i believe.It is 27.2 actual ccs.
The 30cc echo is either a CS-3000,CS300,or maybe the CS306.Somone would have to look up the individual parts schematics to determine wich one would come out of the case and not have to cut out of the case.

Yeah, I remembered you had some luck with that model Stihl. So when my brother and I scrounged some used engines a few weeks ago, when I spotted that one I grabbed it. We also got an older Stihl 20cc engine that I converted to Gas/Glow for my bro'. Very light, compact, engine, and it runs great on Gas/Glow. It has left hand threads, but we just double nutted a prop onto the crankshaft and it works fine...

Im not sure yet.The stupid toyota camrys acting up.Ive checked some things but i think its down to an injector or 2.The only other vehicle i have is my sons 73 chevy sbed PU.The gas aint the best.We just put in about 8 mos ago a 350,4 bolt main,eldebrock intake,Carter AFB 4 bbl.Has the old 3 speed with granny.If i do ill get a hold of you somehow.Send me, Pm your cell number.
