Walbro WT-324
FYI,
I just picked two new WT-324's up from ebay. The seller has 5 more back up for sale at $6.99 each or $10 delivered. He will combine multiple for shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...E:B:SS:US:1123 Though some of y'all might be interested. No personal interest, just a satisfied customer. Jack |
RE: Walbro WT-324
I bought one from that seller about 6 or 7 weeks ago, it was a smooth deal.
I have not used my carb yet. |
RE: Walbro WT-324

RE: Walbro WT-324
Will these fit a G38? Do they have a choke?
|
RE: Walbro WT-324
I got 2 of them, good deal and they do have a choke.

RE: Walbro WT-324
Yes, they have a choke, high and low needles too.
Nice carb. I bought two also. Jack |

RE: Walbro WT-324
What size engines would these work on?
Is there a chart that tells what Walbro carbs are good for different size engines? Mike |

I use them on the 2300-3250 super tigers I convert to gas. They are a little large for the .90's

ORIGINAL: KenLambert I use them on the 2300-3250 super tigers I convert to gas. They are a little large for the .90's Thats exactly what I was wanting to do. I've got an older ST2500 (1.5cu.in.) that I got from a guy that had run it on gas but his set-up failed. The needle bearing came apart. I replaced the rod and was going to run it on glow but the other day I saw a guy at the field that did a home conversion on a Moki 1.8. I told him about the previous rod in my engine and he told me that he is not running a bearing rod in his engine. Instead he just runs 10:1 oil mix and the engine runs fine. He was flying up a storm. Was thinking of doing the same to the ST but unfortunately I didn't get the carb and adapter when I got the ST so I have been looking. Mike |
RE: Walbro WT-324
Ken makes carb adapters.

the only way a bearing will work is to machine the crank and put in a hard pin

RE: Walbro WT-324
Hi do you need to plug off the primer inlet for the carb to run good? Thanks.
|
RE: Walbro WT-324
yes , I crimp it then solder the end
|
RE: Walbro WT-324
I bought one of these carbs and it came with no high and low needles. I sent a message Friday night through ebay and have not received a response yet. He might not work weekends.
I will post the outcome of the transaction. Trevor |
RE: Walbro WT-324
The seller did respond and is going to send the screws.

RE: Walbro WT-324
That's strange. I got two of the carbs and they look great. Well worth the cash. I have a G38 that doesn't have a choke. I'll swap carbs when I put it in a plane.

RE: Walbro WT-324
Do you have the ebay user name of this guy selling the carbs as I need one?
Thanks BJ |

ORIGINAL: resxwni01 Do you have the ebay user name of this guy selling the carbs as I need one? Thanks BJ There are several sellers on that big auction site selling the WT 324 and its replacement the WT 891 carbs. But not for the $6.00 price though but for around $25.00 instead. You can also get a used carb and a rebuild kit too. |

The one closest to the fuel pump is the inlet. The one closest to the regulator, (the cover with four little screws and a hole in it) is the one to close off. I solder them shut.
