ECHO two stroke engine conversion for rc trainer
Hi guys
I have an old Echo gas shr200e backpack sprayer and it looks like that( http://myrtlebeach.craigslist.org/grd/1247627091.html )it is a two stroke engine and i see some people converting these type engines for rc flying so i also want to convert that engine for airplane i also do some tests and run a 18 *6 propeller and it gives me about 4 to 5 kg of thrust and it weights about 1600 grams but the problem is that it have a reservoir carburetor and it can not suck the fuel and to run the engine i have to mount the fuel tank 4 to 5 inches above the engine so if any one of you knows how to modify the carburetor for this purpose so reply me |
RE: ECHO two stroke engine conversion for rc trainer
First, take the carb off and see if it has a pulse hole in the cylinder.
If not, youll have to drill a hole on a flat spot under the carb intake. You use a drill bit the same size as 1/8th inch copper tubing. Then you put a nipple in there with JB weld or tap and thread it and put a threaded nipple in it. Then you use a standard walbro pump carb and run a hose from that nipple to a nipple on the pump side of carb on the cover. Ill see if i can find and post a pic. If your engine has a pulse hole just use the same intake manifold if possible,or youll have to make a new manifold out of G10. |
