Nitro to Gas Conversions
I have a Seagull Models Superstar and is wanting to put a gas engine on it. It calls for a 1.60ci so I need a conversion chart from nitro to gas?

RE: Nitro to Gas Conversions
a 1.6 would be 30-40cc I imagine, but someone else will probably chime in. people usually put 25cc's in 120 size planes

RE: Nitro to Gas Conversions
Here is a couple quotes from another web site.
Im running a 26cc gas engine (CRRC PRO). engines brilliant but could do with a little tuning. Its a great plane and highly recommended, although if you want all out thrill i'd suggest going for an engine larger than a 26cc! but great for sport pilots and (semi) 3D. I have the same plane with a XYZ 50 in it... It is amazing but if it gets too slow it will tip stall. The Saito 180 weighs in right at 2 pounds, That weight is going to be hard to match, but the 16 ounces in 9 minutes will be easy to beat. Try and find out how much nose weight others are running and match an engine to that. I believe the Saito was turning an 18x6 prop at 9200rpm with 30% nitro. With a little home work you should have little problem finding a great motor for the super star |

Built one of these with a CRRC 45. Fit and balanced easily. Was a real hot rod. Talk about unlimited vertical!!

The DLE 30 looks like a great engine. Very light with good power.
