Default DLE 120 ignition going bad?

I have an almost new DLE 120 with about 1 hour run time on it. It idles fine but won't hold and maintain full throttle for more than a second before it attempts to cut off. No amount of carb hi/ lo adjustments remedied the problem so I thought it was a bad carb. Bought a new carb from Horizon and same exact thing....great idle but cuts of when revved up. It will stay running if you throttle back quickly to idle.
Starting to think ignition module is going bad. Any thoughts?
