If I understand your description correctly.
The tail bladesare conning. If this is during flight it could be caused by a worn Tail rotor Blade Clamps Or Tail Rotor Shaft.
Either or both Items could cause conning during flight of the tail rotor blades.

Is there any flex in the blade grips?
It is still possable that teh grips or shaft could be bent.

The slider should move freely as you have already surmised.
Let me know what happens ewen you replace the shaft.

Are the blades off of verticle or conned?
If the blade are straight but not verticle then you can losen the tail gear box and straighten them to verticle.
If they are off verticle they need to be corrected, as when they arenot verticlethey will cause the tail to bob up and down.

Okay, now I understand,
The blades are conning.
Conning is where the Rotor blades are farther up at the blade tips than at the hub. \/ but not that exagerated.
This could be caused by a bent tail blade shaft or the T-end on the tail blade shaft are bent, wither way the shaft is apearantly bad, It is also possable thet the Blade Grips are defective. If the hole in them is not molded in straight or the grips have been distorter this can also cause the problem.
Hope this helps. Ask away and wewill be glad to help.

Looks like the grips are worn, I would definatly replace them.
When you removed the tail rotor shaft it is bent also?
Either way I would replace both the grips and the shaft,
Maybe even the blades.
EDIT: looked at the picture again. Definatly the grips are bad.

By the way.
You are welcome. Always glad to help.

I do not know where you but your parts.
I personally use USHobby Supply.
The are located in the DC area and ship very fast. Usually 3 days to me in florida.
Here is a link to their King v2 pages.

HeliStyle:
Depending on which TX you have, the two top knobs change pitch curve and pitch.
I am assuming you have a Pitch and Hover Pitch knob setup.
Here is the info from the EskyTX manual Hope this helps.
You may want to save and print this for further referance.

The two knobs are the same a trim, and only require small adjustments. to get a good hover. I do not belive you can get them to change the Pitch or power enough get out of Mfgr specs.
It is kind of a feel thing.

Nice build, Looks great and I ma sure flies very well.

DSM2, so when you get a DXM2 TX/RX you know that they will all say you now need DSM3.

exactly. advised why? what's wrong with your DX6? does it glitch? do you lose range? was it responsible for bringing your heli down? if you answered NO to those questions, then you don't need to get a new radio. people will always rave about something and tell everyone else that they NEED to switch. i fly a nitro heli on 72MHz 7ch just fine.

Newer is not always better, just newer and usually more expensive.

Love my DX6i.

well my DX6 is good as ever, when i said ageing and beleagerd i was just exaggerating

i just got myself a Hurricane 550 and chaps on heli freak reconed t wouldnt be as safe as a dual reciever DSM2. like the ar7000

but hmmm, i just recieved a Pm from a one Martin on HF and he is running a Hurri with no issues. so hmmm, maybe im fine for now.

i just wouldnt see the point in uppgrading unless i had to, say if i went nitro and needed a governer

My motto is
"If it ain't broke don't fix it."
When you need 7 channels then go to the DX7.
And keep the DX6 for the smaller helis.
