Here are a couple of photos of my King 2 brushless conversion. I cut off the male bec on the battery and soldered on a female deans ultra. Had to remove the skids to make sure I didn't cross thread the motor mounting screws. Am using the Align 11T. The Align HZ020 pinion kit gives you a 9T,10T, 11T which slide on and are held in place with a set screw. The gear will not fit through the frame hole and I attached it from the bottom. The difference in power is awesome and a little scary. I don't know now if the wood blades will hold up.

Nice Jetskeeter!
You're going to love it!
I'm running a JGF 400DH motor and the Align 9t. Lots of power. It was scary in the beginning. I'm used to it now.
I noticed in your pictures that you belt came off the left side roller guide. I also noticed that the step washer above the roller guide is installed upside down. If you look closely there's a "point" on one side of the washer. That "point" should be facing the roller guide and should rest only on the inner race of the roller guide.
Here's a picture of mine that I hope helps.

Thanks Drive for the pic. Luckily I caught that belt problem before flight. I was turning the rotor by hand and noticed it seemed tighter than normal and thought that it could never auto rotate like this. I'm not sure how I knocked the belt off but I let it run at max throttle for a few minutes after I fixed it and it stayed on. I will definitely keep an eye on it. Maybe I should tighten it more. Esky could have made the ESC cable to the Rx an inch or two longer. The way I have it seated is the only way the connector will reach the Rx. I thought about splicing in an extension but I didn't have any wire like that lying around. Next time I'm in the LHS I'll look for some of that ribbon wire and solder in an extension cause I'd rather seat it where the old one was.

Drive, when you say step washer are you referring to 066 flange bearing cover which sits above the flange bearing 067? when viewing from the side the thicker washer is on top is that correct? that's how mine is both sides. Came like that from factory. thanks for the input.

Drive, thanks for the feedback. I checked the step washer on the roller guide and you are right the cone side is facing up. On both sides. I can't find a clear picture in the manual. Are you very positve that the cones face down?

Yes, that cone must face down. That spacer must have the lip on the upside and the small taper cone end down, so it contacts the bearing on the inner race. If not, you will bind the bearing.

Thanks for the feedback. I developed a belt slip problem that gave me a serious headache. I finally determined that the flange diameter was too small possibly a defective unit so I put the washer on the bottom. The belt isn't slipping anymore and the roller is turning freely. I don't know if it will last that way. anyone have any input on this subject?
