Anyone seen, heard of, touched, felt, purchased or flown the E-sky E-Smart helicopter? Jaghobbies has it for $299.00 with the metal head an tail.

I don't see anyone talking about this helicopter on the forums. It's tempting at $300 with the hopes of just throw in my electronics from my King. Or would it be better to just get a T-rex for $450 instead. This e-smart looks pretty snazzy not to mention durable with it's metal frame and rotor head.

Haven't heard about it, but if you had mentioned it last week, I could have had some info. Not sure about now, I think my friend is already coming back from Shenzhen. He had his hands on the HBK2 carbon edition. Its not released yet though. I'll have some more info soon as we made a contact with TWF directly. By the way, HBK2 electrics I dont thnk will work or should be used. This is a much bigger heli. Looks Trex 600 sized or more. If notice, I don't think it comes with blades and the LiPo batteries are not going to be cheap. This thing weighs over 3 times that of a HBK2, empty!

IMHO -
Anything above 500 sized is a waste of time on electrics, for the single, simple reason that the power source is a LiPo that can reasonably cost over 150-200$.
I'd rather deal with the hassle of nitro, TBH. Also, the head looks a little thin and how do you say, breakable, for something with that much spinning/crashing mass behind it.
Look at some of the metal bars near the washout/flybar cage. I would be super afraid to crash that.
BUT, that being said, I'm a sucker for new cheap toys, but I will have to decide between that and a HBKII Carbon.
Ugh, 600 size heli's are SO expensive to power. And they wreck HARD, and break stuff =/.
Also, if you want my completely honest opinion.
----------------------------
You will be so much happier if you just save up and buy a Trex.
I cannot explain to you how much better they fly. I like to mess around with the Esky's because they are cheap fun, but if you have never owned a Trex, it's a truly unique experience how well they fly.
I owned 3-4 Heli's before my 450se, and about 5-6 more after, but I'm tellin' ya, sometimes I wish I had just bought another 450 or upgraded the equipment on my current one.
I do not regret any Esky purchase, ANY - the Belt and the HBKII are awesome heli's, and I'm sure the HBKII carbon will be too. But if you are going to spend 300 on a Esky that requires all the usual suspects for equipment AND a huge LiPo, I might even consider a 450sa ARF and just upgrade to CNC as you break stuff.
At 300$, you are getting out of the cheap fun range, and into "Save money for something sweet" range.
