I've owned a V3 for the last 4 months and after getting pretty good at it i decided to upgrade to the HBK2.
Im having major issues....
For some reason...it constantly spins counter clockwise. even with full trim to the right and moving the servo forward a couple of mm at a time nothing seems to stop it spinning.
The tail rotor seems to be spinning fine and my blades are fairly well balanced. I've also tried adjusting the gyro - and+ but nothing seems to work.
I read a suggestion of tightening the belt. Can someone please let me know how this is done and any other suggestions you may have to fix this.

I am pretty new to this as well, i have not even manage to fly this machine
Still getting alot of help from Good Brothers from the thread
I had the same problem like yours, tail spinning, it was the belt issue
The adjustment is made by moving the tail boom. If you were to look at the Portion where the frame connects to the tail boom where u can actually see the Belt, there is 4 screws securing the position of the tail boom. u have to unscrew, pull the tail boom back and tighten.
But my problem was a lil bit on the severe stage, where the belt got off the aligned position and brushed against the guide screws.
I only truly solved the problem after changing the belt- just tight it enough to hold the Teeth in position, too tight or too loose is bad.
logically i believe if it spins and you cannot counter the spin by using controls, then there is definitely lost of power on the tail - i hope i am right
i am a newbie as well, shouldn't be giving professional advice.. haha

Does the gyro initialize? Do you have control of the tail at all? If your rudder trim is set too far off center on the transmitter, the gyro will not initialize.

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies. I'm at an absolute loss.
Im not completely noob to the heli scene but im far off advanced.
Everything seems to be functioning perfectly.
When i spin the tail blades in the corect direction the main blades spin fine so i dont think the tail is too lose.
The red light on my gyro is going solid red and making the "initialised tone" when the battery is attached and Tx on. Gyro is set to reversed. And i Have tried both extremes of (-) and (+).
All servos are functioning properly and I have tried moving the tail servo forward AND backward to no avail. I've tested them all after gyro is initialised and ALL including tail servo moves smoothly.
My swash plate appears to be level (even if it wasn't I wouldnt expect this much spinning).
The paddles on the flybar are basically set to flat.
I start the heli and it spins slowly anti-clockwise...with more throttle it just spins faster.
Even with full right trim (i set this after initialisation) and holding stick to right IT STILL SPINS[:@]
Everything flew perfectly from box and I havent had any serious crashes.
I think I dont have any other choice besides buying a new HBK2...
If the gyro was faulty would it still be initialising?

If anyone can come up with a suggestion as to how to solve this they deserve some sort of 'RC heli forum helper dude' award. I just can't see it helping.

Unless you have so much pitch set in your main blades that the tail rotor cannot overcome it, moving the tail servo forward should get you to the point that the heli spins in the other direction ( clockwise ) if you move the servo enough... If the gyro wasn't initializing, you would have no tail control. The tail servo will not move if the gyro does not initialize. The rotory knob on the left side of your transmitter has a lot to do with initial pitch settings. If you have a pitch gauge, you can measure pitch through the throttle range by unplugging the motor and moving the throttle stick on the transmitter. If not, you can eyeball it to ballpark the setting. The pitch should be pretty close to flat ( no pitch ) until near mid stick and then max out somewhere around 10 degrees ( eyeballed) at full throttle. Again, you eyeball it with the motor unplugged. On my Esky transmitter, the left rotory knob is between 12:00 and 1:00 and the right rotory knob is about 9:00, if that helps. Also, if you are running the brushed motor, it can get weak in a hurry and give you symptoms like you are seeing making it nearly impossible to hover and get the tail adjusted right since you have to have tons of pitch to overcome the low rpm headspeed.
