LAMA V3/V4 THREAD! CALLING ALL OWNERS!
Hey there,
I remember when i had a 4 channel heli similar to the blade cx2 and lama v4 that when i took it outside the wind pushed the blades in towards each other and chopped them up.
The video i saw at miracle mart showed them flying very easily outside,
I have the xtreme blade upgrade but i was thinking i had to get some alloy parts?
Why is it they touch together sometimes and what would fix this?

Guess the Super Shaft has more clearance to eliminate blade strikes.

RE: Make a LAMA V4 OUTDOOR PROOF?
Thanks for that, quite an interesting read, i read some of it before but the flybar section made very good sense,
its funny how the unit will go forward, then stop at a certain point because of the flybar.
Definitely fun through doorways

RE: LAMA V3/V4 THREAD! CALLING ALL OWNERS!
As i was walking out of my mates place, my 7.4 volt lipo dropped to the floor,
I STOOD BACK in fear as i see on all the videos on the net.
I'm not sure what to do with it,
Its only got the SMALLEST crease on the packaging, but it hit the corner,
I'm thinking its just easier to get another?
i will have to get a pic!!

did the cells swell up at all?keep it in a fireproof box if your uncertain of its condition until you can determine what to do with it or how to dispose of it.I store mine in a deep corningware dish or in a chiminia that is not used or ammo box.

The cells are perfect, no swell at all..
Not sure as yet what to do,
they were cheap enough, (the mystery brand ones)
My v4 is glitching on the odd occasion, it will be ok, then for a split second it will loose power, then come back straight on again, can't describe the sound but sort of like it glitching
Thanks
Adrian

How did you make out with that battery?I also had some glitching every now and then probably because i didnt have the antenna fully extended on the tx,The glitching stopped once i extended it. Why isnt anyone using this thread to post on the v4, this is why its here people ,so all questions are not scattered all over.

RE: Make a LAMA V4 OUTDOOR PROOF?
hahaha thats awesome whens ur b'day?
mines next week on thursday.
I am waiting for a alloy swashplate, but thats all i'll get i reckon
They are strong enough as is.
The one upgrade that would be good is the extended alloy shaft (inner) so u have less chance of hitting the blades together

RE: Make a LAMA V4 OUTDOOR PROOF?
As of today, i have a brand new V4
i've taken it for a flight, and i have already snapped all the blades and the skids
did anyone else do this?
the reason for this, is when i go to take off, the heli veers off in one direction
is there any way to fix this?

RE: Make a LAMA V4 OUTDOOR PROOF?
The blades and skids are quite basic, i broke the stock blades more than once.
If it is veering off in one direction then the swashplate is not centre,
You will need to take the control arms off each servo from the top and wind them depending on which way its unbalanced.
So if u take the left one (or passenger side for car equivilant) and wind it anti clockwise it will make the helicopter move forward more.
If u take the right one off and wind it out more (anticlockwise) it will make the helicopter veer to the left, same with the other directions
Thanks
Adrian
