I can't give you a comparison, but the new 2.4Ghz seems the way to go if you fly with other people and interference is a possibility. With 2.4Ghz FASST you never have to worry about other frequencies bothering you...

6EX has 2.4 GH, 7CHP doesn't.
Choose your poison!

YEAH, IM CONTEMPLATING AMONG THEM TWO BECAUSE; 7CHP HAS A TIMER (WHICH IS A MUST) AND PITCH CURVES ( WHICH I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT BUT, HEARD/READ ITS GOOD TO HAVE AND ITS 7CH'S. THE OTHER; 6EX IS "WHATS HOT" BECAUSE OF 2.4GHZ CRYSTAL LESS BUT NOT THAT MANY OPTIONS. WHICH I DONT CARE MUCH OF GHZ VS MHZ CAUSE, IT SEEMS LIKE ALMOST EVERYBODY HAS A GHZ. I GUESS ITS A MATTER IF IM GOING TO KEEP IT FOR A LONG/SHORT TIME.[

At this point in the hobby, I really cannot understand why anyone would buy a FM or AM radio anymore.
Unless you are flying super long ranges, like with a video feed or big jet powered planes, it just seems pointless to have to be worried about radio interference. I lost my 50 Titan in the first crash it ever had on an old Futaba PCM radio when it was about 35 feet away from me, it glitched out hard on some sort of interference and went down into a pile of parts.
I've yet to get a single glitch or loss of signal on my DX7.
I've heard of people losing connection on the Spektrum systems, but I've yet to witness or experience it, whereas I have several occasions of first hand experience with people hopping on my channel or having a AM/FM radio glitch out.
My first time ever flying a HobbyZone Super Cub, my first plane, was a bad crash resulting from someone keying onto my frequency despite not having the Freq Pin/Card thing at the field. It was a cheap crash none the less, but it was still irritating.
