I have just purchased my first R/C helicopter, a Honey Bee King II with 4200kv brushless motor and 30A ESC. I have also replaced the standard rate gyro with a Logictech 2100T, as the extensive research I undertook indicated that this is an excellent unit.
I have come across a possibly major issue though: as far as I can understand, the gain on the 2100T can only be adjusted remotely, but the standard E-Sky TX does not have a channel for remote gain adjustment, only a HH on/off switch. Is this really the case, and if so, does that mean that I will never be able to actually setup the gyro properly?
One more question also: when I power up my heli, something on it plays a little tune, then beeps twice. Is it the receiver, the gyro or the ESC that's doing this, and what do the two beeps mean?

I just downloaded the manual for the 2100T, holy *&(^ what a useless piece of paper. I wish these chinese, japanese, korean (I am asian so there's no racism going on)... etc companies would pay the extra $100 to get somebody who actually speaks english to write these things. It might as well be in egyptian.
If that is actually the case you might be screwed, and based on what I could see of the manual it only supports Futaba and JR radios (you can probably use the JR setting for Spektrum). Anyway, if you can't get it to work you might have to ebay it and get a gy240 or gy401.
I'm assuming here that you replaced the standard tail servo with a digital one? the 2100T and GY240/401 work better with digital.

You do not have remote gain adjustment capability on the stock Esky radio, just a HH on and off switch as you stated. The music you hear is caused by the ESC. The actual sounds are coming out of the motor oscillating at different frequencies. It depends on exactly which ESC you have as to what two beeps indicates. If you have the manual for the ESC ( and it makes sense in English) look at the manual to find out what two beeps indicate.. It may be the indicator that the brake setting is off. ( you don't want the brake on, by the way...)

Thanks for the advice, I had already attempted to follow that excellent setup guide, but as far as I can see I still have no way to adjust the gain on the gyro.
Does anybody want to swap a Futaba GY240/401 for a brand new Logictech 2100T?
