Hello all. I am a CX2 owner and am almost done with my TREX 450 V2 build. I am considering getting a smaller, FP Heli to practice indoors with over the winter. The Heli recommended to me was the Walkera #4. The other Helis I have been looking at are the Belt CP, the HBK2 and the Falcon 3D.
Any thoughts on whether or not this (the Walkera #4) is a good choice for me? Since I have a TREX, I am not looking for an expensive setup. I am looking at a brushless setup for the Walkera, though, as well as putting an AR6100 on it so that I can fly it with my DX7.
Any thoughts, comments and opinions are welcome!!!

the Walkera 4 would be your better bet for your indoor flying..the others you mentioned are not far from or equal the size of the Trex .
unless you have plenty of indoor room...or the family dosen't mind shredded furniture....i ain't saying don't play with the 450 indoors

what size is the walkera #4? i know my falcon 3d is a 400 size and while i can hover in my living room, i only do it for testing something out when i cant go outside....there really isnt enough room to do anything productive inside. i bought a micro mosquito to play around with in the house

Thanks for the replies, everyone! A brand new Walkera #4, complete with upgrades, spare parts and 2 extra LiPo packs will be here tomorrow, coutesy of Michael at USHobbySupply.com! I am also going to convert it to a 3-in-1 system and an AR6100 Rx so that I can fly it with my DX7. [8D]
So, now that I am a Walkera #4 owner, anything I should be watching out for when I get this bird tomorrow? I am going to fly it stock right out of teh box and then convert it to 2.4 GHz DSM2 afterwards.

Oh, and brushless on a Walkera #4 I found out was WAY to much work to do correctly. Thanks to Michael for trying this out on his own Heli before selling me the goods!!!

I am going to modify my Walkera #4 to run on a 3-in-1 control with AR6100 Rx so that I can fly it with my DX7. Michael went above and beyond to ensure that I was a happy customer! Like I said in my previous post, we had all good plans of converting the WAlkera #4 to brushless. Michael first tried the mods on HIS OWN heli to make sure that everything would work. It didn't. We found that, because of the tail rotor motor mixing, it just wasn't worth the time and expense with such a small Heli. Michael could have just sold me the goods and left me to bang my head against the wall, but he did not!

For the record, I have ordered from many different suppliers for my CX2's, my TREX 450 V2, my Typhoon 2 and now my Walkera. Besides Michael from USHOBBUSUPPY.COM, Jamie from BOOMTOWNHOBBIES.COM is also really good to deal with. I have also had good experiences with Horizon Hobby online and also with techmodelproducts.com (TREX stuff).

I agree- I recently ordered some stuff from Mike and he offered to have the goods for pick up at his home. Now that's service! Fact is with gas prices so high it was cheaper to have him ship it. Which by the way he used a cardboard box, not an envelope, which meant no damaged parts.
