lama V4 -> V3 chassis compatibility ?
Ok - this UK seller on good ol' flee bay does lots of nice shiney bits from Xtreme....
Thing is - i want to get rid of the naff canopy and crappy skids from the V4 and fit a sexy new skid set and tail boom from the V3 xtreme upgrades - i know the boom and skid upgrade will fit Ok together,they're both for the V3 - but what about the gearbox assembly from my V4 - will it screw straight on? Has anyone done this, or am i farting upwind in a force 9 ?

but the lama v3 main frame will fit your v4 parts so get that put it all on that and then buy your extreme hop ups you can get a full hop up kit for 30 quid.the cnc parts for can be had for 15 deliverd too.

Skids, lower frame, boom, blades - i'm gonna hold off the cnc parts for now - until i'm happy the frame is solid enough. i may even get the main plate machined by a friend if I can find the time in a week or two.

Didnt mean to annoy you lol but i did show you those links before didnt i?,ive yet to find any parts for any rc ''toy'' from the uk that comes close price wise to the US or Hong Kong and not forgetting Canada too.Ive been buying from them for the past few years for my boat parts and i must have saved a fortune.

Hello im new on this site so im going to try and be helpfull to anyone who has a Lama v3 and v4, if you dont know all ready put a 5amp fuse between tha motor and 4in1 controller, its will saves save the 4in1 in the event of a crash!! trust me it works. Any questions on how to do it please just ask .........

well - got most of it all fitted now - my V4 is more like a V3 now
One point to mention, with the standard V4 swash, the stabilizer "finger" won't slot into the guide rail ( it's too short) on the V3 motor/receiver plate. Obviously, the CNC kit will resolve this as the finger is longer to accommodate this mod. I'm just impatient and wanted to test my new frame
Soooooooo much better - and a LOT more stable again. I can maintain an awesome GE hover and move around the livingroom with relative ease - cats and family members permitting
I've chopped off the rear V4 canopy mount and fixed it on the carbon boom with some Cyano so I can use the original Canopy.
Motors and heatsinks next then
