The 4 in 1 in my hbfp no longer activates the main motor. The servos and tail motor still operate. The main motor itself works, I connected it directly to a battery and it runs fine. My local vendor thinks I may have burned out the 4in1 by using a 3-cell lipo 11volts instead of the 8.4 v battery it came with. It flew fine with the lipo for several flights before the motor stopped working. the vendor thinks if I replace the 4in1, it will just burn out again.
Is that likely? can the 4 in 1 normally handle the 3-cell lipo?
(The 8.4 batteries I have barely get my heli off the ground here in Colorado. The 3-cell worked great for a while.)

Im going with the local guy on this one bet you killed your 4in1. If you are handy at working on electroics though go over to the Exceed Falcon40 thread. There have been a few guys over there who have put bigger mosfets in there 4in1 to run bigger motors and batterys.
