range of v4??

Still waiting for my v4. One thing I can't seem to find is what kind of range I can expect from the v4 outside, considering fresh tx batts. and good rx antenna placement?

Range shouldnt be a worry on a heli that sized if you get it very far away your not gonna be able to see it well enough to fly it anyway. I would guess the range is around 500 feet or so.

agreed, you're not going to be able to fly it outside very much anyway as it can't handle winds more than 5mph so make sure it's very calm before you try. even if you can find a day calm enough to fly in your going to lose orientation of the heli before you lose range.

Thanks for the reply. Being a rank new-b, I plan on staying stock and inside for awhile (except blades & landing skids) and getting my skill up. Then do upgrades to make outdoor flying easier ie; graphite tail boom, shorter flybar, longer servo arms etc. This forum and rcgroup's forum have been very helpful.
