Default esc location

I see lots of different locations for mounting the esc. Mine is located directly under the rx and I sometimes wonder if I should move the unit up along side the bl motor or in the original spot. I am currently experienceing no servo glitching problems with the stock tx but wonder if it should be relocated anyway?? Steve

In general it's a good idea to keep the ESC away from the receiver since it can cause interference. It may not make much of a difference when the heli is close in since it's getting a strong signal, but as it moves further away from you and the signal gets weaker it might become a problem. I have the ESC strapped to that little tab just above the battery in front of the motor with the receiver in the same place you have yours.

most manuals suggest 10cm between the esc and receiver, if you have 2.4ghz then it's not an issue.

Druss, 10cm!? Really? Isn't that the length of the entire stock HBK2 battery cage? 10cm from the front end of the receiver is well past the front of the cage. I don't see how this could be possible to accomplish on the King.

I servo taped my 30A Dynam ESC to the side of the battery cage. In any case, general advice is to keep the ESC as far away as possible from the receiver.
