I hope this isn't too stupid a question, but how interchangeable are blades? I just got a HBK2, but the only stuff my LHS stocks are E-Flite products. Assuming the size is about the same, can I just put Blade CP Pro blades on my helicopter? Actually, any other tips for parts that are interchangeable between the two brands would be much appreciated. It would be nice to be able to go down the street rather than on-line as I destroy things. Thanks very much.

It definitely depends on size. I would not go past 290mm for the King2. Any longer and you can 1) have a slower than desired headspeed, and (more seriously) 2) run the risk of the main blade striking the tail blade. Other than that, any symetrical blade should be fine. Depending on the brand, you may need 1) small washers/spacers if the blade is thinner than the King2 blade grips, 2) if the area of the blade inside the grip pivot point (can't remember what that area is called) is longer than stock, it may rub against the inside of the blade grip, and you'll need to remove excess blade.

Thank you. I ordered some on-line, too (don't know why I didn't think to order when I got the helicopter), but I was hoping to get some right away. My crashes are not going to wait for the mailman to arrive. I'll pick up a pair or two on the way home tonight and see how they compare.

My Feedback: (10)
There are some practically indestructable ones at Heli Direct for around $6. 295 MM is the length. I even flew them on my Belt CP.
