Default Best way to replace main frame CP2?

Hello,

I need to pretty much take everything apart on my CP2 and put it on another frame. It looks like if I pull that "pin" the shaf will come out the bottom and I can just slip it ll on the new frame....

....am I correct or is there more to it?

Thanks,

KS

Kenskid, You will have to totally strip you heli to change the main frame. Servos, 4 in 1, main bearings, LG, and Tail Rotor. You will need the thin black mounting tape and the little zip ties that come with it when putting it back together. This is what helis are all about. Strip it,[sm=confused_smile.gif] fix it,[sm=idea.gif] admire it,[sm=shades_smile.gif] crash it[sm=cry_smile.gif] and then start over again.[sm=thumbs_up.gif] LOL Also once you change the main frame one time you will know your heli inside and out. Thanks Gittle...

I purchased a bare bones kit b/c my frame broke in half on my original. I moved sevrvos and 4/1 to the other ARF heli. That heli flew last night and today !!

I purchased another frame for the broken heli and wanted to set it up as a spare (minus the 4/1 and servos.) Guess what....I broke it all down last night...put the rotor assembly and gear on the new frame and it didn't take very long...about an hour....BUT guess what?!!!! I noticed that when I had it all back together, the little "tab" on the swash plate was not in it's "slot". I tried to push it in and IT BROKE OFF ! I now need a swash....and will have to tear down and build back again....but I'm looking forward to it. It should take about 20 minutes this time!

Thanks,

Kenny
