sucks when u pay 3 times the cost of an item to express mail and the damn mailman
1) doesn't leave it
2) doesn't leave a notice of intent to deliver....
bah , need a dang local hobby shop that stocks esky stuff...

I don't know why ANYONE would send anything USPS anymore. UPS, FedEx, etc...all have tracking, and straight-forward delivery times. Until the USPS starts tracking and guaranteeing delivery times, I'll never use them to send stuff.

The lowest UPS and Fedex show where it is, and when it is to be delivered.

I'm going to chime in here on the international order side... as bad as USPS may be in the US, once it gets into Canada the tracking is actually pretty good (due to Canada Post).
I don't buy from sellers in the US who use UPS as they charge a $35 brokerage fee regardless of the value of the item. Canada Post charges $5 plus tax only if the value of the item is over $75 or so. This means that a small $20 item coming from the US to Canada will cost me about $25 shipped, UPS would cost me around $60 shipped.

I can't stand USPS either, I had 2 orders coming from NJ to southern NY, they got my first package delivered in one day (which is all it should take), the other on took them 4 days to deliver and it was the same size as the first one, so next time I order from BPHobbies I will find out how much stuff I have to buy for them to ship it FEDEX like they did my ARTF kit (my heli came almost 10 hrs after getting tracking number, thats some speed, BUT they drop ship, you're not there it'll be left on the porch [
]), also my first heli that I ordered from KA-Planes got shipped USPS, took 5.5 days to get here, not cool, but Mike's service makes up for that one

Guess I'm lucky never had a issue with the USPS on shipping or receiving. I've received more broken stuff from UPS at work and at home and get the feeling they just don't care. Ever try and get a straight answer from UPS? I can live with USPS tracking but I can't live with broken stuff.

I had one time that I knew a package was supposed to be delivered by UPS (said out for delivery) so i'm waiting... waiting... and I see a UPS truck driving towards my house... driving in front of my house.... driving right by my house...
I had to get in my car and chase him down and lo and behold... there was my package in the back.

I think it depends a lot on the community you're in. USPS has been great with deliveries to me in my neighborhood, better than UPS. Though I've noticed sending things to other areas that some tend to lose and break stuff.

your probably screwed.. did you check behind a table or bush or something. i work for ups and when we leave packages we kinda hide them out of site from the street.
if it aint there,, call the post office 1-800 # tell them,,they we speak to the mail man and see if he remembers leaving it.. most of the times they will remember if you call right away!!! now if he remembers leaving it i hope it was insured... do you have a lot of kids in the neighborhood or live in a high traffic area?? someone could have picked it up.. if you live in a apartment they are not allowed to leave it..they can leave it with the managment but it should say that on line.
actually i think you will have to call the place the place you bought it from and tell them.. they might have to make the claim with the post office.. but i would call too just to find out something and let them know whats going on.. good luck,,,jake

different mailmen everyday suck.. i have that same probelm.. one day my mail we get here at noon and then sometimes not untill 7 pm.. i wouldnt be surprised if they left it at another address.. bet thats what happen if you don't think any kids got it.. if they did deliver it to another person lets hope that person is honest. i would go to your post office asap..that way they will talk to the postman and see if they remember where they left it.. you may be kinda screwed... maybe the seller will get with the postoffice but that process is going to take days if not weeks.. i'd try and see if even you catch the mailman tomorrow and see if he/she remembers.. good luck buddy,,

I have had a few packages supposedly delivered and then the following day it would show up as undeliverable. The post office will hold it for like 3 days and then return it to the sender. I am guessing that your mail"person" didn't get an answer at the door and if its insured or signature required they must take it back to the post office. Once there wasn't even a note on the door like usual......I found out a couple days after they tried to deliver that it was sitting and waiting for me. Don't assume the worst until it actually gets proven. It probably went back to the post office. they update thier tracking info nitely, maybe you will get some good news. I am crossing my fingers for you!

either dropped off at another address or someone walked off with it.. i see it all the time at fed-ex.. a lot of packages getting lifted or a new guy delivering to the wrong address or even street sometimes!!
hopefully the seller will take care of you.. it might take a couple days or weeks though.. next time i would pay the extra coupel bucks and get a signature required delivery.. that way they cant just leave it.. good luck buddy.. hope you get it soon.. keep us updated.. i'm curious to know what happened..
