Default Flight Sim for HBK2

I have a stock HBK2 with a 6 channel transmitter. I was wondering if there is any way I can use my transmitter to practice on the simulator without having to buy the simulator controller which retails for $25. I was wondering if there is some way to connect my 6 channel transmitter via a USB cable to my computer. I noticed that there is trainer port in the back of my transmitter which is supposed to connect the instructor's transmitter to mine. I understand that. No problem. Is there some way to make use of this port and use the transmitter as a controller to practice on the simulator? I read somewhere that there are certain dip switches under the batteries in the transmiter that need to be flipped or something. Can someone please shed some light on this issue and let me know what I can do to use my TX for the sim. and what settings I need to make to the dip switches?

If this can be done, I will definately order the USB cable (EK2-0900A) for $7.99 and also "might" get the trainer cable (EK2-0901) for $ 4.99. I want to practice on computer and get a feel for the TX sticks without crashing. Never flown an RC helicopter.

Thanks.

Alright guys after weeks of stumbling to find answers if the 6 channel transmitter which comes with the HBK2 with the flight simulator, I am happy to report that it can be done. I got all kids of responses to my query; some said that 6 Ch transmitter can not be used and that I'd have to buy the controller with the flight sim software for around $20. I was curious to find out if my 6 Ch Tx could be used via the Serial-USB cable. So here it is.....Yes a 6 Ch Tx can be used successfully by connecting the transmitter via the Serial-USB cable. Just that some settings have to be made to the dip switches at the back of the transmitter. The following link gives guidance to do this step.....By the way, Jim at jaghobbies is a great help should you have any questions. He's great when it comes to parts and timely shipping/delivery. Good luck and happy flying.

I use my esky Tx on Clear Veiw sim with a $9 cable i got on ebay. I havn't programed the switches to work with it yet but it can be done. And Clear Veiw has a HBK2 heli on it. It flys really squirrely and is hard to control, not like my HBK2. But I like to fly the 60 and 90 size on the sim.
