I just installed my brushless motor (ESKY 3100) and ESC on my HBK2. The ESC has a connector that doesn't fit the battery. Could someone explain this and give me a recommendation. The connector on the ESC is considerably larger than the connector on the battery.
Next question. How tight should the motor pinion be meshed with the drive gear?
I appreciate any help I can get on this.
Thanx,
Lee

the old battery uses a jst connection, the new esc has an ultra deans. Just go to the hobby shop and buy a female ultra deans connector and solder it onto the battery. Make sure you get the polarity right and that you finish soldering one before you cut the other from the old jst (if you short circuit it you may cause a fire).

Just to add to Druss's great advice there is a video on how to solder Deans connecters over at helifreak.com by "finless" Bob White that really clarifys the process. If you are new to soldering lipo's it is a highly recommended video to watch.
