Whats in your HBK2?
Not sure if there is a thread out there for this so I thought I''d try it. Lets see what everyone runs for making their HBK2 as fun as possible.
Upgrades:
3800kv + 25a ESC (ESKY)
11T pinion
Telebee HHG
1500mah 15c x2 (ESKY)
43t pulley Extreme Productions
Align Trex 450 skids
HDX450 tail blades
Extreme turnbuckles (great for setting up your tracking) Recommend these!
Spektrum DX7 + AR6200
Acces:
ElectriFly PolyCharge 4
Micro-cam mounted in the canopy to give it a ''cockpit'' view
40a toggle switch for tweaking and setup. ( nice not having to unplug battery every time.)

RE: Whats in your HBK2?
I just got mine in the air. It is just a simple plastic $90.00 to the door bare bones helicopter. I have a Gunther 3800 BL with 9 tooth pinion, (3) high torque digital MG servos (1) high speed digital mg servo for the tail, 240 gyro, 1250 mah lipo, flown with a RD6000, stock wood blades.
I may end up getting a nice aluminum tail for to get a little more throw in the blades.
Dru.

RE: Whats in your HBK2?
OK, sorry this isn't longer but if you read "head hold gyro won't hold...why?" You'll see my issue. Other than that many people have asked to see my King2 with Bell 222 fuse fly, well will a short hover work? It was raining and windy out side so I was inside the main hangar for a short hover, also my camera sucks and shut itself off after 30 seconds. Well enjoy. S

P.S. I forgot to mention in my list of mods a cnc anti rotation bracket and Xtreme adjustable turnbuckles, for nice blade tracking.

RE: Whats in your HBK2?
Which of these set-ups, mainly gyro/ tail servo, would be recommended to do mild 3D. I want the HBKII to be a cheaper trainer than my T-Rex.
Thanks All and God Bless,
Jay

Post subject: boy,O boy, I am stunned.... Quote Edit/Delete
Hey you pilots/heli pro's etc.
Man I am stunned at whats going on with my HBK2 I replaced stock motor esc and also installed hh gyro. I have the 3900 KV with the 10 pinion gear, the only thing I have not replaced is the Tx, for cost reasons, and stock batt, when i plugged every thing in I have esc to 2 pin set, I also plugged the hh gyro according to the setup Vid on you tube, kinda confused because i read someone saying the orange plug need not be plugged? also when i first lit Her up, the hh gyro did make noise not so much a blip, but more like gears moving and had a blue lite, but when i advanced the throttle nothing, so I shut er down, and tried to recharge stock batt, all I get there is a red lite, and upon yet more research, i guess the lipo dropped beyond recharge range. Oh, the motor acted like it wanted to turn at first but nah!
anyway to make a long story short, I am wondering if anyone has an up close diagram of placing plugs in pin connectors on receiver, and power requirements again all I have is the stock Tx and little knowledge with advanced setup just going with what I have read or seems to be correct based on combining various studies. its a bit rough without a pro ta kinda guide me, p.s I attached my motor backwards like the one shown had to cut away a little material just has shown, all connectors seem right, just wondering is it mearly a pwr. issue? what battery is recommended all i have is the 11.1v charger frm esky.
also when i put the gear on i could only get it flush and there is'nt much room for adjustment once i screw it down to frame but it truns freely and gears mesh well. thank's sorry bout all the text!

No wonder that thing won't fly. It has ugly duckling syndrome and wants to be put back in the closet!!!
