Just want to boast about my new purchase, a DX6i/AR6200 and (AR6100e for a WDF4). I spent a couple of days on and off doing a full complete HBK2 heli setup. Never used a digital TX/RX combo before but found the DX6i very easy to use and setup. I also bought 3 very expensive flight packs (AU$75.00-$100.00 each) to add to what I was hoping to be a very good setup. I have five gyros and decided to go with the Turborix High Performance GY400.

After a full setup and some testing and tweaking of heli and TX, I am now spending a lot of time getting AIR. Am pleased with the complete overall setup and performance.

I have 3 sims but never been able to get them working on my computers (graphic cards, memory crashes etc) so have been practicing my flying skills with a Walkera DF4 and 4G1B. On saying this I consider myself a beginner advancing towards an intermediate pilot. No 3D for me yet but am pressuring myself to one day get there.

My HBK2 DX6i AR6200 settings are as follows:

Pitch Curves
Normal: L = 40%, 2 = 50%, 3 = 65%, 4 = 80%, H = 100%
Stunt: L = 0%, 2 = 25%, 3 = 50%, 4 = 75%, H = 100%

Throttle Curves
Normal: L = 0%, 2 = 30%, 3 = 60%, 4 = 80%, H = 100%
Stunt: L = 100%, 2 = 85%, 3 = 70%, 4 = 85%, H = 100%

Reverse Settings
THRO = N, AILE = R, ELEV = N, RUDD = N, GYOR = 0, PITCH = N

Subtrim Settings
THRO = 0, AILE = 0, ELEV = +40, RUDD = +20, GYOR = 0, PITCH = +60

Turborix High Performance GY400 HH Dual Rate gyro
Rate (0): = 35.0%
HH (1): = 75.0%

All other settings are factory! I don’t think there is any need to “ACT”ivate any other settings at this point in time. I believe in control and orientation for now. Other settings will eventually come later.
