The throttle trim MUST be lowered to the bottom of its range before the Rx & Tx can signal eachother to begin the binding process. This is a safety feature to stop the bird "coming alive" and the rotors spinning up and hurting something/someone.......[sm=49_49.gif]

So the first of all the steps is OK.
Now check with another battery. This one may be damaged and have not the proper voltage even if it`s charged.
The low voltage protection could make this.
If you have a voltage meter (or a multi meter) then check the battery`s voltage. It should be at least 4x the battery`s cells. For a two cell battery at least 8V, for a three cell at least 12V. Or even at least 7.8V and 11.7V respectively.
Also check the transmitter`s batteries.
Remove all the plugs (make sure you pay attention and write down where and how each one is pluggen in) and then plug them back in.
If still it does not turn green then remove the servo plugs (make sure you pay attention and write down where and how each one is pluggen in).
Test again.
If that doesn`t help then unbind the transmitter, then re-bind it.
After it is bind then for the first time you connect the battery then have the throttle at the lowest position (and its trim) and after a couple of seconds set the throttle to the highest (but the trim still at the lowest).
If that does not help either then try to remove the motor`s plugs from the 3in1.
If still it does not light green then you most probably have to replace the 3in1. I would replace the motors also, as this is the cause the 3in1 has gone bad, except if the 3in1 was heavily punched through a crash.
You can test the motors by powering them directly by the battery.
Now the possibilty that the receiver has gone bad is too little, but I could not say that it is out of the question.
Only that the most times is the motors that have gone bad through a crash (while having the throttle open) and so they have also damaged the 3in1 unit.
If any of the motors has a smell then you know for sure that it has gone bad.
I hope you get it fixed.

Check the transmitter is in the right position with respect to the switches too. For my mode 2 2.4 GHz
ALI Rev
ELE Rev
THR Nor
RUD Nor
Really only the throttle position seems to effect the ability to bind, as rest effect the flight
Ensure during the binding process the throttle & the throttle trim( the sliding rectangle lever)is down, the rest centered. Follow the unbinding / rebinding .
WAIT unit the bird binds and you can make the servos respond. The LED should then go green.
Post back your results

my 3in1 stopped responding to the throttle after a crash.
the servos still kept working, but not the throttle.

Wow mate - that must have been some crash! It could be just a plug is unplugged - just a simple thing. Check that the wire between the lipo socket and "3in1" is still connected and not pulled out of the circuit-board before you do anything else.....
Peter[sm=shades_smile.gif]
P.S. Geoff has some great advice above! For saftety just ensure that the helicopter lipo is not connected while playing with the reversing switches on the transmitter - especially the throttle (THR) switch......[sm=wink_smile.gif]
