Replacement servos for King2
:eek:I want to replace all the stock servos on my King 2. Is there any particular ones that last longer or work better than the stock ones that don't cost a lot more? Thanks

RE: Replacement servos for King2
I am going to do the same shortly and was told that the servos from the DX6 will work and fit the King V2. Hope that helps.

RE: Replacement servos for King2
I use 3 Hitec HS-55s for the swash and an E-Flite S60 for the tail on my HB King V2.
The HS-55s cost about $14 ea. and the S60 is about $17 at the LHS. You can find them cheaper, I'm sure, online (eBay ;)). Lots of people use the Hitec HS-50 for the tail and are happy with it. It does cost more: about $22. The 2 rear servos on the swash need their mounting holes elongated inwards to get a proper fit. Otherwise the HS-55s are a direct drop in. Good Luck and Happy Flying! -Vince |

RE: Replacement servos for King2
They should plug in, HiTec uses S-Plug, Futaba has the J-Plug with tab on the side.

RE: Replacement servos for King2
Yes, what ezveedub said.
From my experience and what I was told at my LHS, the S-plug is more commonly used by manufacturers. |
RE: Replacement servos for King2
yeah, they plug right in. They may rotate the reverse direction though, so you will have to do the servo reverse mod on one of the servo's and then swap the two rear channels and possibly reverse some servo channels, but it should be as simple as that.
I am currently working on a write up for how to upgrade to the hs 55's someone in another thread also mentioned that they have two different versions of the hs 55's, one that turns cc and cw, so if that is the case, then you wouldn't have to do the servo reverse mod. |
