Kansas City Indoor R/C Extravaganza March 2-4, 2012
The National Airline History Museum in Kansas City is providing their facility for the 3rd Annual Kansas City Indoor R/C Extravaganza. They will move all three planes outside. They will provide tours of the Museum and it's aircraft which include the Super Connie, DC-3, Martin 404, & L-1011. It is a great facility with 55' high ceilings. There will be Venders on site, both R/C Vendors and Food Vendors. AMA is required and aircraft are limited to 10 oz RTF. Helicopters are limited to 250 size or smaller.
All proceeds will go to help support the Airline History Museum.
Hours of the event:
Friday March 2nd: 4:00 pm - 8:00 PM F3P Contest ($10.00 fee, only F3P flying allowed on Friday)
Saturday March 3rd: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Sunday March 4th: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Pilot Pre-Registration: $20.00 (Pre-registration must be received by Feb. 28, 2012). I will have details on how to pre-register shortly.
Pilot Registration at the door: $25.00
Vendor Fee $125.00 (with raffle prize donation) and it includes one pilot registration.
Spectators Fee: $5.00 includes a tour of the Museum. Infants are free.
Contest Info:
The F3P (Indoor Pattern) contest will be Friday March 2nd 4:00-8:00 pm. Both F3P-A and F3P-C will be flown. Practice will be from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. The contest will start at 6:00 pm. This is for F3P flying only, no open flying. The entry fee is $10.00 to help cover the costs of awards and prizes. Even if you have never flown F3P before please come out and give it a try. We will explain the sequence and help anyone out who needs it. It's a lot of fun. F3P Sequences will be posted shortly.
Freestyle Contest: The Freestyle contest will be held around noon on Saturday March 3rd. It will be a 2 min Freestyle Contest flown to music provided by the pilot.
Full Contact Combat will be flown Saturday late afternoon. Battery size limited to 600 mah.
