Throwdown III - Las Vegas!
Greetings All. This event is going NATIONAL. The Flying Cirkus is proud to announce the Third Annual Flying Cirkus Throwdown on April 27-28-29. This event is open to all our RC flying bretheren, and is expected to be the largest 3D Fly-In in the Western USA.
VEGAS BABY!
We are going ALL-Out with a MAJOR event hosted by the Las Vegas Radio Control Club at the world-famous William Bennett Field, home of the TOC and the birthplace of world-class 3D flight. This event is billed to be truely epic. Many world-class competition pilots will be appearing, and sponsorship is going to be off-the-hook. Sponsors include:
Desert Aircraft
Fromeco Scale Avionics
Horizon Hobby
Aircraft International
Dietrich Perfomance
Fliton
ChargerRC
Kirbys Kustom Vinyl Graphics
Temecula Valley Hobbies
...many more major vendors will be announced soon.
Past events were such a huge success, the event just had to move to a national class venue to support the massive turnout of the best in the business. Every class of aircraft will appear, small electrics to 50% gassers. We expect well over 100 pilots flying Giant Scale aircraft. Event planning and registration can be found at www.TeamFlyingCirkus.com now.
Don't miss this event. This annual event will be the Joe Nall of the West! Be a part of HISTORY.

Bill Bennett Field is north of the UNLV football stadium about 200 yards. It is south of Sam's Town casino; and is just east of Boulder HWY. This places it all about 2-3 miles east of the Strip. See 'ya there!

Just finished sending this info to 12 of my flying buddies----surprising to find out how none of them heard anything about it before now. Everybody who is interested in seeing something big come to Las Vegas to fill the void created by the loss of the TOC and the Quarter Scale needs to inform his friends in order for this to be a success. Good luck and spread the word!

Tailskid, it takes about 15 or 20 minutes to get onto the strip proper during the traffic hours. The Freeway is just down the road from the field and the strip is easy to get to. Quite A few nice big hotels close to the field and the food is out of this world. A very easy town to get around in but the drivers are nuts so be on your toes.

Ohhhh yea! It's on like crazy. This is shaping up to be a BIG event. We have nearly 50 pilots pre-registered already, and more signing on every day. We have several major celebrity pilots making appearances too. Come on down!
Check out the threads on [link=http://www.teamflyingcirkus.com]www.teamflyingcirkus.com[/link] and register your attendance [link=http://www.teamflyingcirkus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1774]HERE[/link].
This thing will be EPIC, with tons of major sponsors signing on and a vibe that will blow you away. PLEASE bring your aircraft and enjoy some flying too, it's a totally open venue with free-fly much of the time. Newbies to world-class pilots, warbirds, circle flyers, IMAC... all welcome to fly and share a great weekend of RC flying mayhem. We have just announced Hotel group rates for everyone, and the fun will be endless. Many of the local pilots just enjoyed a big fun-fly in Fresno, and you can see the coverage on that event [link=http://www.teamflyingcirkus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1996]HERE[/link]. The Throwdown will be 10 times this size or more, with at least 100 planes out pushing the limits (carnage implied).
Thanks for your interest, and spread the word! We are putting on an event that will rival Joe Nall very quickly.

Great snaps shots Bob... Glad you made it over for the event.... the temperatures were a bit warm, but the wind was extremely light... perfect for the sorts of 3D Antics we do!!!!
Did you happen to get any snaps from Saturday evening!!!
And there was a foamie death match that was a lot of fun too!!!!
Was great to see everyone there and hope to see more next year!!!! (Yes... there will be a TFC TD IV)

Bobzilla,
Great pix! Thanks for them. Five of us from here had to change our plans at the last minute and couldn't make it to the meet, but hope to come next year if you're going to continue it. How many pilots registered this year?
