Default RE: Davis diesel fuel

Hobbsy we do not gave a clue what his DI is who knows acetone?? just have a gut feeling not nitrate 75% ether 25% oil 5%DI adds up to 105%, I am willing to bet any high compression glow would run on this stuff (gadjet fuel)
with a standard glow plug. maybe my mag 30 would do fine on it we are already close with the Davis 1/2 A fuel martin
THE ` original drone formula was 70% ether 30% oil and no "heater" but was high compression martin

The DII will be amyl nitrate or octyl nitrate. Those are used in the fuel industry. Acetone is not a DII, more like a octane booster.

Ok so what is Gadget Fuel?

I don't use much of the 1/2A fuel so I get what I need from Clutton. But, my bigger Davis Diesel I use Davis' fuel and I will burn up a quart in a weekend of a lot of flying. I would not mind mixing my own so the idea of using pump diesel with additives sounds interesting.
