OK Guys good news looks like Fox is having a sale 30% off free shipping on their engines, the 15 BB RC is 73.50 free shipping , toss on a Davis head $50 you have a great 15 diesel
for $124 all made in the USA , no quality issues, the C/L version is a few bucks less, I did not see the Fox 50, it is supposed to be back in production??? martin

Recycled flyer Had this occured a couple of years ago I would have 1 less MVVS15, like you ,full up on 15s too . I do have a Fox 50 one of the few reissued with a Davis head

You can also trade in a clunker engine and get the Fox .15 engine at 50% off its retail price, which brings it down to about $53 for for the BBRC one.

I had sent in a clunker for a new engine a short while,back myself.

I just came off the Fox site, and the new .50 is an ignition engine, for a gas-oil mix.

Fox is also selling new glow versions of the .50 too. I see it in their catalogue they sent out with the two engines I bought recently.

Wow. I only saw the ignition version listed on their website yesterday. I might be interested in getting one. I only worked with one when they came out originally, and after helping another club member set his up to a 13200 top end and 2000 rpm idle, , found out he was turning an 11-7 prop. Most people I know only use that size on good .60s. Then, a few months later, when he got back from wintering in Florida, the engine was a little better broken in, and his flying buddies in Fla. had gotten him to add a little oil to his fuel, and had readjusted it to 13,600 top. .60 power in a package that matches the Fox .45 footprint.

And other club members were telling him to dump Fox because they don't have power.

I see other people in the club having to rebuild other engines almost yearly, while those of us who use Fox just run for years without doing much other than replacing a bent or broken needle or props, and used up glow plugs. And the Diesel conversion will eliminate the glow plugs.
