Hi Gang:

I would like to find a crankshaft screw to fit in my MVVS D7. It is a FIRE .15 Diesel engine. I bought this engine in about 1978 and it may be as old as the 60's. I think that he screw is a M5X.08 but I may be incorrect.

Anybody have any of these items for sale or know where I may obtain one?

M5x0.8 is the regular M5 pitch, it shouldn't be too hard to find...

You are correct! I stopped in a lawn garden-hardware store and they had a great selection of metric fasteners. I found the M5X.8 for only 40 cents.
