PAW 35 40 49?
Are these engines still avalable?
If so what are they like compaired to diesel conversions (Davis etc)
what sort of cost are they.

The PAW .40 has the most power for the weight. However, that being said a davis conversion of an OS LA .46 will turn a MAS 12x6 three blade about 800 RPM faster that the PAW .40 will and it weighs the same. 13oz for the LA, 14 oz for the PAW .49 but 17 oz for the PAW .49 (same as a PAW .60).

I agree Francis.
I bought the PAW .40, .49 and .60 (MkII - same case as the .49) in TBR R/C spec.
The .40 PAW was the best of the three all round by far. I sold them all after some use, replaced by more modern design engines (Irvine .40D and MVVS .61 G/D FS).
I do miss PAW's .40 TBR though. Surprising user-friendly performance.
