Ok today sunday hauled out my old apache ll beefed up with wing struts flying wires on tail surfaces and beefed up landing gear
with 3 1/2 wheels (tundra style for rough field take offs) by the time I got to the field it was gusting to almost 30mph so flying was
aborted.this bird orginally had an irvine 40 diesel but last week popped in the 53 it is no longer sedate so much for that. I am now
running a graupner 12x6 and ground rpms 10,100 just for kicks I put on my 3 blade zinger 12x7 still turned 10,000 but no wheres near
the thrust of the graupner
also 805 sq inchs of wing and wt about 8 lbs it could easily be a 60 size stock airframe
