Hi,
I was wondering if anybody has any experience with a Silver Swallow 2.47 diesel engine? I have the opportunity to get one and don't know anything about them, or what a good price is for one either?
Any info you can give me on these engines would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You,
Mark

The Silver swallow is actually one of the best old style 2.5 cc diesels out there. Years ago I ran a comparison with a number of diesels including PAW, MVVS, ED, ZOM, LLam, Zeiss, Engel, RITM, Kumar, Webra and a few others. I don't have the comparison chart anymore but the Silver Swallow was one of the best in power to weight ratio and it was easy to start as well. One of my favorites and cheap as well!

Thanks for the info Max!
But sadly, I didn't know at the time when I started this thread, that the Silver Swallow wasn't an R/C engine (I would like throttle control). I like small R/C planes and was looking for a good inexpensive diesel for something different at the flying field.
Is there any other good reliable diesels of this size that have a throttle carb for R/C?
