Default PAW 29

On my visit today to my local HS (Bobs Orl Fl) . the owner Steve pulled out a box of used engines he got in an estate sale and there was a 29 PAW plain bearing (no muffler) It went home with me, I benched it tonight zinger 12x6 Old english oily mix fuel runs nice> It has a fair amount on play foward and back in the crank, Ideas how to reduce it ???? . Called Ed Carlson tonight and ordered a muffler
and new screw set and the real shocker was it was not that noisey just running open ported martin

Martin, I've been trying to get a hold of Ed but his website is a confusing mess unless his old web address takes me to the wrong place, Thanks

Eds webb site seems quite sporatic your best bet is Ma Bell at 602-863-1685 and he will go to his shelves when you call to see if he has what you want . I talked to him about 15 or 20 minutes on a lot of stuff martin

My new one has like 1.2-1.3mm of slop, they are a "wet nose" motor. I would leave it alone. Don't fix stuff if it ain't bust IMHO

Andy may leave it alone about 1,6 MM if you shove it back it drags against the crankcase. Did not tach it last night on the back porch
930 at night bit it sounded like it was running pretty quick at least 8500 conservative guess martin

Did you get much vibration at those revs? I have a .29 that vibrates more than I'm happy with. I also have a .35 which is better behaved.

The vibration level on mine is quite low no issue and a balanced prop. martin
