I have had no luck reaching Mark Lubbuck by PM or email so far. I would really like to machine a ML Midge engine, but have no drawings. If anyone can be of any help in my search for Midge plans and instructions, please PM or email.

Suppose you know about: http://modelenginenews.org/
Click on engines on LHS and then Projects as it expands. If necessary you could contact the webmaster who will no doubt help because he has made a few!
Robert is your moms brother.

FYI (and any other who may be interested) the Mark Lubbock Midge was published as a two part article in the UK modelling magazine 'Aviation Modeller International' some years back-in the mid to late 90's IIRC (somewhere ca 1997 or '98) I think it spread over two issues that were not quite consecutive-March and May or April and June from memory but I'm not 100% on that. I think I've got them here -but they'll take a bit of digging out! I have got a rather poor photocopy of both articles which I can copy and snail mail if needs be, if you get no luck elsewhere.
NZ's John Malkin, one of the grand old identities of NZ aeromodelling has built one, and I've not only seen it running but seen it flying a sport model at our Nationals a fews years back. I think he 'imperialised' his one, as the AMI article was in metric dimensions.

The motorboys site says April and June. I will certainly keep that in mind, thanks!
I sent an email to the Motorboys t'day to see if they could help. (as per locktite401)

Hi All,
I have been trying to get in touch, but my freeserve email address has been unreliable (now changed to my work address which I read every day).
I have the original articles scanned as a 3MB pdf file, but cannot send it due to my email limitations-my broadband account is through work & they won't let me send such large non work related files!
Ron Chernich does sell imperialised plans, but I could copy the files to a disc & post them if needed-just cover my costs & I will sort it.
Hope this helps

You heard him, folks. As some of you have already done, feel free to email me and I will pass on the plans/articles to you so you can build and fly your very own Midge compression engine!

If you would also like the plans in inches instead of metric, email Ron Chernich of the Model Engine News website. He sent me a set, postpaid to the USA for $10, and he would like to hear from you. http://modelenginenews.org/

Chaps from far and wide have emailed for their plans over the last (nearly) 3 years. Don't be shy, if you think you may like to build one of these one day, just email me for the info.
Cheers, Tim
