Default MUST KNOW

I am about to buy a Davis diesel conversion head for:

Thunder Tiger Pro (does not have angled back needle) .25

or

K&B Sportster .28

How did yours idle?

How did yours transition?

What RPM did it turn what prop?

Thanks
Francis

Francis I have a pair of tt25pros in a twin star it has 9x7 wood zingers, I have not flown the plane yet but as I remember they transitioned well could bal rpms and think turned at least 10K, I hope to fly it in the next month, It is altogether and static tested, Davis predicts it will be a sky rocket with this setup cannot give any answers on the 28s since I do not have any,the TTS look good however martin
yes they have Davis diesel heads
I will try some 3 blades, ground clearance limits me to to 9 inch props

Francis,
I owned and flew a K&B Sportster28 for 10 years with a Davis head. Fantastic combination. Used every prop up to and including an 11/7. It's retired now but is still in very good condition and still was running perfectly when last used.'

Moot point as I bought a used OS FX .25 from a friend. Bob's favorite, a Diesel OS.
