ST34 in E Flite AT-6 ran it on the bench 20 minutes on glow fuel and then ran some diesel (davis fuel) it did hit 11400 with a topflite 10x6 hope to get the davis head next week
and see how it does with a 12x5 or 6
yes you did read and you see the glow head it did hit the numbers on diesel fuel AFTER the glow was pulled this is a ringed engine and the compression was up from mush to good
after its runs (ring is seated) it will get a couple of more tanks on the diesel head before flight so we get a nice transistion from low to high revs
thats now 2 e flite conversion the beaver and AT-6
If needed too, tank can be slid way back almost over the cg with no hacking on the air frame tons of room for the battery for CG too under the cross piece
with just an added firewall and mount these are easy conversions
cost savings??? around $400 with the electric stuff setup diesel upgrade engine $70 Davis head $60 flight time at least twice that of electric
forgot pitts muffler $38 still a deal
and see how it does with a 12x5 or 6
