Default Perry Carbs

I am planning (saving money) to buy a FOX 60 or 74 and converting it to diesel like all of my other planes. A visit to the Perry carburetor web site tells me that they make an adapter to put their carbs on FOX engines. This seems like a good idea given all of the modifications and tweeks that are required for FOX carbs. I have a MECOA .46 with Davis conversion head and the throttle is only open 80% (aprox). Would I get a Perry carb with only 80% of the FOX stock bore? Those of you who have a Davis converted FOX 60/74; what is your max throttle opening?

Try it first with the stock carb. I converted my Fox .40 to diesel and it runs beautifully with the stock carb. Idles right down and Swings a 13/5 prop.
