Default Evojet Booster 160 - Need Help Please

Can someone who operates or ran a Evojet Booster 160 in the past please tell me what kindof battery I need to buy? Does it HAVE to be LiFe or can I use LiOn or LiPo?
Thanks
Joshua

Is it a VX engine? I have a 180vx and a 220ex. On the 180vx, I had lots of trouble during starts. It was primarily due to me using a 3S Lipo. At the time of the 180vx, the factory supplied pack was a throw away item - no good at all. I 'upgraded' to a 3S Lipo - didn't help.
But when I put in a 4S LiFE, all my problems went away.
These engines need a LiFE 4 cell pack to have reliable starting.
All new engines from Evojet are now LiFE pack supplied.
If you're looking to buy a pack, just get a 4s LiFE pack and be done with it. Don't bother with a 3S Lipo.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your advice. I ordered a 4S 2500 mAh LiFe pack from Radical RC.

HI N99JH

I have a EVOJET 160vx and use a 3s lipo and never had any issues starting. Also the battery size you ordered is good for about 4 to five flights. Please check battery voltage if you fly more than that. Hobby king sells FOD screens. just need to look at DIM before you order and they are a lot cheaper than a lot of places Also try dreamworks for all jet hardware.

I have a G-booster 130( =160) and flies in Norway down to -15 degreeds C. 4 cell A123 is my favourite choice and have never had bproblems. Althoug the last 2 years I have used 3-cell Lipo, 2650 Mah and they seldom let me down unless its wery cold. I think both should work fine under normal conditions. I think Evo and G-booster is the same, correct me if I am wrong.
