Default G2 Raptor servo question

I got a call from my cousin who was so impressed when I crashed my H22 that he went out and bought a G2 Raptor from Xheli... I guess they have a special going on... anyway, he says he crashed it, repaired it and now the servo that contols pitch was making a strange clicking noise that got louder when he moved the throttle up and now it just buzzes...
I told him that the servo was probably damaged in the crash and now it sounds like it is stripped internally...
I am not familiar with the G2 Raptor but from looking online and looking at the scanned copy of his manual, I beleive that all the servo's on the G2 (pitch, tail and collective) are the same????

can someone correct me if I am wrong, I don't want to give the wrong info to my cousin... (he'll crash it a few times and sell it to me cheap, so I want to make sure that he has the correct parts)....

I posted this in another tread, but figured I might get more answers out here....

yeah, they should be the same. There are a few options you can do, replace the gears in the servo's if you think the rest of the servo is fine, replace the servo with an identical probably sub par sero, or outfit the heli with 3 new better quality servo's. The one thing you can't do is replace the single servo with a better servo because it will probably have a different speed and range of motion compared to the other servo's which could really give you a bad day =)

Good luck!

Thanks for the info,

My cousin brought the bird over and after looking at it I see he has more problems than just servo's. The tail boom is bent and this is causing the belt to rub, some of the linkage is bent (From an unusually sudden stoppage??? Told me he was trying to fly it in a gravel parking lot) and the frame is cracked along the bottom.

He has already ordered replacement parts, but I think that when the boss sees the bill there will be Hell to pay and he'll probably sell it to me after the next crash..(that's how he is)....
Depending upon the condition of it when he finally gives it up, if he doesn't totaly destroy it....I will probably set it aside until I get more proficient and can do a little more than Hover these CP birds, then I will invest in some upgrades...

I'm still learning on my CP, after flying FP for a while I thought CP was going to be a bear, but I'm actually doing pretty well (IMHO)
