Is there fiberglass 1:10 scale buggy body ?
Was wondering if there are any fiberglass bodies for the 1:10 scale buggy ? I noticed on my buggy that where the body ow set's so close to the motor it's melting there, with a fiberglass body this wont happen, plus the body would be a lot stronger.

i dont think you will find them, i dont think any truck/car/buggy body is fiberglass, would probably crack and be to heavy and cost a lot.

this would have to be something you make yourself.. alot of models use the lexan body.. some use an abs plastic body but none the less for this model you will need to figure out something else.. how about a heat shield, something to redirect the heat or help it cool down before it damages your body.

if its melting it cut the outside a little bigger so it doesnt get close enough to touch. The problem might be that ur running to lean so it gets hot?

I have the same problem on my buggie. A small hole has been melted right where the exhaust header touches the body.

Ya know what you could do. Go to the auto store get a small container of fine thread fiber glass body repair. clean the inside of the body very very good, get some masking tape and a piece of wax paper. Place the piece of wax paper wax side against the hole and tape it in place with the masking tape. On the inside put a small amount of fiber glass repair around and over the hole where the wax paper is(carefully so you don't poke it out) let it set and do another thin layer do it about 3 or four times should do it, let it cure till it's rock hard then you can clean up the out side so it's smooth with some sand paper. Next time you get a new body you can do that same thing in the corner and it creates a heat shield that will keep your body from melting.
