I am looking to buy a 1/10th or 1/8th scale Nitro RC Monster truck and I saw the Exceed Infinity truck on Nitrorcx.com. I thought "Wow this is a great price for a monster truck but is it good quality?". Has anyone here owned both an Exceed car or truck and another brand of the same type and noticed a major difference in quality? I mean, are Exceed trucks just cheap pieces of junk that break immediately or are they actually worth buying. Do you think I should pay more than a hundred more dollars for a name brand truck like the Tower Hobbies Tower Terror or the Traxxas T-Maxx instead of buying an Exceed Infinity monster truck? Is the quality worth paying that much more? I am very thankful for any helpful comments to help me make my decision! [8D]

If this is your first nitro RC go with the infinity. The tower terror is a POS, the tmaxx is not that bad. Exceeds support has really come a long way. Yadac123 has been taking care of all of the issues that have been happening. You will not find any better support.

I agree. Why spend like $400 on a t-maxx that you are gonna break. The exceed trucks parts are just as durable, and you can get the spare parts for pennies on the dollar. Traxxas brand parts are expensive.
There are also several aluminum part upgrades for these vehicles at cheap prices compared to the big name brands. You can trick one of these trucks out just as good as the t-maxx
And about Yadac123 (Andy). Harryball is correct. You will not find better support. I have seen Andy help every person on these forums with even the most minor problems, including my own issues. Something isn't right, post it here and they will help you out. These people WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.
Honestly the only downside to buying an exceed is that you may not be able to buy parts locally, but I know a place where u can get all your parts and you may qualify for free shipping. Check out [link]http://allaboutfunhobbies.com/store/catalog/index.php/cPath/2_19_74[/link] Also Nitrorcx has all the spare parts and aluminum stuff for that truck too.
The reality is no matter what RC you buy, you will have some issues with parts wearing out etc. The exceed will bring you just as much joy as the traxxas. It is worth the price and you still get a good quality RC. Don't waste big money.

Well i have a traxxas revo and a infinity. There is no comparison between the two. The revo has about 10 times the suspension travel, twice as fast, and is more durable. But as for the infinity for the price and for just getting into the hobby they are great deals. I got the infinity for my step son and its been a good truck. Weve had it since christmas and its been through snow and off road alot. Only broke a few spindles and shocks so far. But its been abused alot and has just had a tough life. lol. As with any R/C half the fun is getting new and better parts for them. There is a large base of aftermarket parts that fit it. So over all i think its a good truck to start out with. Just my two cents.

True andy. Its tough to really compare these trucks or any nitro trucks for that matter. But like everyone said they are good trucks. Really true if your just starting out because parts are so cheap to replace when you break em.
