Exceed Sunfire reverse doesn't work

Exceed Sunfire reverse doesn't work
My Exceed Sunfire just sputters when I use the stock 1800 battery fully charged. When I put the 3000 battery in it goes forward great, but won't reverse. Reverse doesn't work at all.

No, the electric 1/10 cars have reverse Greg. I looked it up because I thought that at first too.
Maybe your ESC is malfunctioning?

Reverse worked fine before I replaced the motor. Now when I try reverse the red light in the car lights up, but nothing happens.

It is not the stock motor. It is a Venom 19X2 Fireball Modified Motor. (http://www.venom-group.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=VEN%2D1314).
