Default Sunfire Brushless battery compatility

I am going to be ordering a new Exceed RC Sunfire 1/10 Buggy this upcoming week. I am getting the brushless version. I'm really excited to get into RC Cars. I do have a quick question however. My dad use to fly electric planes a few years ago, and he has a few batteries still. They are 1500mah NiCd. I am just curious if NiCd will be ok to use in my new car. I have a couple 3000mah NiMh batteries already, but it'd be kinda nice to have a few extras in the gear box just in case.

So, in a nutshell, will NiCd batteries be ok to use in my new Brushless Exceed Sunfire buggy.

Thanks for the answers.
