Cooler air settles to the ground. Hence the "Hot days are hard on shoes" remark, I think.

Chuck...will you please put up a video link of that composite Rare Bear with that YS four stroke running on 50%-60% nitro...
I loved the prop work you did on that one...everything hinges on the prop! Power only gets you so far.
Here ya go R.B., A new link to that old video of my R.B.! (the original youtube post doesn't seem to load properly anymore so I had to repost it). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c2CNENare4

And a link to my original Rare Bear thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10...m.htm#10959190

Ironically, after all this talk about the doppler shift of farts, I need someone to tell me if the sound of my supercharged high nitro farting machine are coming through on the fresh youtube upload; (I seem to have jacked up the audio drivers on my pc, so I don't know if the audio track worked on the re-load).

Thanks in advance hopefully, Chuck

RudeBoy, thank you for letting me know all is well with the new link, and for causing me to notice that the old link was screwed.

Now, If I could just figure out how to make the RCU software let me edit the old link in the Rare Bear thread, (for some reason there are no edit buttons available in my old posts anymore).

P.S. A belated but big welcome back to RCU (such as it is)

P.P.S. Your recent Diamond Dust video really made me miss my old clipped wing D'Dust. Nice flying, everyone else commented on the elegant launch, but I thought the landing was even more indicative of how comfortable you are with your plane, right at your feet even though you had to know your engine had just grenaded itself! [8D]

Best Regards, Chuck

I use a 10X6 on a .32 heli engine. Loads perfectly. 9x8, 9x7, same load. The 10x6 will slow down a little better on landings and have a great vertical as well. Very fast plane. The .32 engines are great. I use 20/20 heli fuel in mine.

OS 32 10x6 prop do not = a fast plane. whats your rpm? i would think not much more than 13,000 if lucky 13,000 x 6 = 78,000 take away 3 zeros and that isnt a fast plane 90 mph at best. Now a note though a 10x6 may perform best on that plane though.

Very fun looking plane...but I would try a 10x5 or a 10x4 before declaring the 10x6 as the best all around prop for that plane.

That's a EZ Supra-Fly 25 early ARF kit from OK Models. It was Designed by Hanno Prettner. Not a speed demon by any stretch but a fantastic "baby" turnaround pattern plane. One of the best flying small airplanes I've ever had.

+1
I still have 2 of the kit built Supra Fly 25' one with fixed gear one with retracts and O.S 32F's . Two of the best flying planes i have ever flown and the kit quality was amazing.

Agreed, I once had a scratch built 45" pattern airplane with a piped 25FSR and a Rev Up 9X5 was a great prop for that combo. I agree with the .32 the 10X5 would work well.
