Been doing jets and only jets for so long it's been a very long time since I had any go fast prop planes. Nostalgia hit me hard so I decided to search out the sexy and do it right. Here are the new go fast toys for this year.
There is an old Grove GR7 Formula one racer and a Prather Little Toni Formula one that needs finishing. Also is a quickie with a nelson on it. The F1's will be gettting Dub Jett's FAI practice engines timed for an open exhaust so there will be no pipes hanging off the sides. Loud yes, but I love it. The fact that they'll run on no or low nitro instead of 60% makes me happy too!

No. I was not in Phoenix. I live in Reno, and Arizona is a long way for me to go to a weekend race when I work all week. I do plan on going to a few Northern Cal races this year, but I have to be careful. I have to hide from Shawn all day. I give him so much grief on the forums that if he sees me the first thing he will do is punch me in the mouth........
Now I hear he moved closer to me.
Great.

Awesome! I am a Q40 pilot that will be flying Warbird also. I wanted to invite you to fly your F1 in the demonstration at lunch we do during Q40! It's a lot of fun make some noise and run a few laps! It's a pretty cool deal! Not many chances anymore to see and hear these old racers in action! Kurt

It really is a lot of fun! We mess around with them in the evenings also. I will be bringing two again this year. Mike Helsel flew my purple Shark, and we had a blast! It's not every day you get to experience some F1's on the line! I will have some of the high test fuel available also if need be. If you need anything motor wise let me know. We would love to have you join in!

We generally run up to 65%, but 50% is really easy to needle. Do you happen to know what the engine mount was set up for? I have a couple of engines I would be glad to lend you Is it a 4 bolt or a six bolt mount?
